Maintenance Update: PDU Replacement Beginning

We are now starting the scheduled PDU replacement maintenance in our data center at approximately 5:00 PM today. As a reminder, this involves replacing power units to enhance infrastructure reliability. Systems have redundant power, so no interruptions are expected, but we’ll monitor closely for any issues.

Scheduled Maintenance: Power Distribution Unit (PDU) Replacement

We will be performing scheduled maintenance to replace power distribution units (PDUs) in one of our data centers today at approximately 5:00 PM EST. This work involves disconnecting, replacing, and reconnecting the units to ensure continued reliability of our infrastructure.

All systems are equipped with redundant power supplies, so we do not anticipate any service interruptions. However, as with any hardware maintenance, there is a small risk of unexpected issues that could temporarily affect network connectivity or server availability.

We will provide updates here as the maintenance begins and upon completion. Thank you for your understanding as we work to maintain the highest levels of service reliability. If you experience any issues, please contact support.

MAINTENANCE WINDOW – July 11th, 2022

On July 11, 2022 starting at 5:00am ET (9:00am UTC), we will be conducting a scheduled upgrade, which will affect access to the member portal.  The maintenance window is scheduled to be for 2 hours but we hope to have it completed much sooner.

Here is a list of affected services:

  • access to all member portals
  • DNS & Whois updates will be unavailable
  • ability to register or renew domains
  • ability to pay for any services
  • DYN updates will be unavailable
  • All REST API endpoints will be unavailable during the window including sandbox environment
  • Host Monitoring will function but Failover will be delayed

Duration: 2 hours

Please be aware that DNS resolution will continue to function.

On August 11th 2021 starting at 10PM EDT (2AM UTC), we will be conducting an upgrade of our backend systems which will affect access to the member portal and API. The maintenance has a 6-hour window for completion (but we anticipate it wrapping up much sooner.)

Here is a list of affected services:

  • access to all member portals
  • DNS & Whois updates will be unavailable
  • ability to register or renew domains
  • ability to pay for any services
  • ANAME updates may be out of sync
  • DYN updates will be unavailable

Please be aware that DNS resolution will continue to function.

MAINTENANCE WINDOW – May 26 2020

From 8am to 9am EDT [12-1pm UTC] on Tuesday 26 May, we will be performing a brief maintenance window that will prevent login access to the customer portal. During this time, dynamic DNS updates WILL be affected.

Please be sure to arrange any DNS update entries to occur around this window.

New Look! Same Rock Solid Reliability

You may have noticed Zoneedit is sporting a new look and feel.

It’s fresh off the press with quite a bit of buzz. Everything works just as well as before the face lift except looks more up to date with today’s web technology.

You’ll see the tutorials getting updated the more frequently you check back. If you’re missing something, post on the forum and we’ll point you in the right direction.

MAINTENANCE WINDOW – Dec 18 2018: Control Panel

Dec 18 2018, 2:31 AM: Maintenance is complete


The ZoneEdit Control Panel will undergo a scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, starting at 2:00 AM Eastern Time. During the maintenance, the control panel will be unavailable, which means you’ll have no ability to update your domains.

Time: 2:00 AM ET
Duration: 1 hour
Purpose: Server Migration
Environments impacted: Zoneedit Control Panel only.

Your domains will continue to resolve and your websites/emails will continue to work, but, you will have NO access to make new changes to your domains/emails/account via our Control Panel during this time.

EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE WINDOW: Support portal

ZoneEdit’s Support (Ticketing and Knowledgebase) platform will undergo an emergency maintenance window at 6:45 AM today, 13 June 2018. During the maintenance, complete access to the same will be barred. Further details below:

Date: Wednesday, June 13, 2018
Start Time: 6:45 AM ET
Duration: Minimum of 1 hour. It may extend to a maximum of 90 minutes.
Purpose: Server migration
Environments impacted: ZoneEdit Support (Ticketing) only.

Your domain(s) will continue to resolve, your emails will continue to work, and you’ll have access to our Control Panel; only the access to your support-tickets will not be possible. During the window, please utilize our forum for support.
